Business Model

GridSearch isn’t an app, it’s a function within an app.

The intention is for GridSearch to be a function of any video-playing application on Internet connected devices, smartphones, tablets et cetera. Think OTT video players, monitoring CCTV, video editing. The list goes on.

In order to make implementation as smooth as possible, we intend to supply partner companies with software code that can be ported easily into their host software.
The code is currently only written in iOS. The next piece of coding to be done will be Android. Further on HTML5/JavaScript and C# will be provided.

I most circumstances the GridSearch code will not touch the video asset of the host software, nor have anything to do with the video codec. The host software will be required to supply the thumbnails in accordance with requests from the GridSearch software. In the iOS demo app GridSearch will pull the thumbnails out for itself.

Once the user of the host software requests GridSearch functionality, then GridSearch will request a number of thumbnails at different timestamps. The host software will be required to supply the thumbnails to the GridSearch software. GridSearch will then do all the manipulations required on screen, and once the user has selected the correct starting point will request the host software to start the video playing from the required point.
